Jandy Valve Lines (main lines)

Hello all... Not sure if I am using the correct terminology for my question. Please look at picture to get the idea of my question. Do these lines have to be even when replacing? In other words do the jandy valves have to be at the same level as shown in the picture or can one be higher than the other? Hope Im not confusing anyone with my question. Thanks in advance!

They do not need to be the same height.

One more question.... Do they have to be at a certain height level?

There are no specific height requirements. However, I would keep them above the pool water level and not higher than about 5 feet above the water level.
