Tear in Vinyl Liner on side at water level...

We just discovered a tear in our vinyl liner (17x35 Oval). It is approximately 6" long - it is maybe 4" from the bead lock at the top. Could we patch this or should we replace the liner?

Our pool was installed in 2001, never had a leak.

That should be pretty easy to patch. Patch kits with enough clear vinyl for that size are readily available at many websites.

If you have steps, then you might have the section of liner that was cut out for the steps. If you cut a patch from that, it should match pretty well except for being new vs faded.
