Drop in replacement for FNS 60+

Hello all,
I've got a Pentair FNS 60+ that has some issues (tank lid cracked, filter grids are broken and have ripped the "socks") so instead of putting more money into that old thing, I'd like a drop in replacement that isn't DE and can work with the slide valve (pn#263053) that's installed.
Is this possible? or should I just replace it with another FNS 60+?
I'd like to go sand but from what I've seen they aren't drop in replacements but then again I'm probably not looking in the right area.
Thanks all

Hi, welcome to TFP! Even if you get the same filter as before, minor changes in manufacturing may still have you doing a little plumbing to hook it up. Can you post a picture of your current equipment pad?

Also if you are going to a sand filter you will have to have a multiport valve to use it, otherwise there is no setting for backwashing the filter.

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm trying to clean up what the previous owners did (and didn't do). Here are some pictures.
So honestly it'd would be better to just get the same model?
