Ok, so that sounds like a contradiction, but I have one NeverLube valve that is REALLY hard to turn. I'd like to open it up and lube it. Is that a bad idea?
It most likely just needs to be taken apart and cleaned, but using a silicone based lube such as Boss 820, Magic Lube II (Not regular Magic Lube), or Dow 111 should be helpful.
There is a set-screw that locks the handle in place. Make sure that the set screw is loosened before turning the handle.
