Scuba Diving training pool

Hello

I have just installed a pool to be used in the winter by Scuba students.

They will be using BCD,s wetsuits etc which are also used in the ocean. Many pools here complain that they cannot keep the water clear when they allow scuba students to use it.

What do you think this is caused by?
What aspect of the pool chemistry will be most effected by allowing salt water laden wetsuits and BCDs into the pool?

Thanks for the help!

+1 what Isaac-1 said. Keeping adequate chlorine is easily the number one cause for pool water issues. Folks new to pool water chemistry just seem to overlook the importance of chlorine.

See this thread for a heavily used dive training pool with outstanding water clarity. The key was properly maintaining the chlorine level and having outstanding filtration. The owner used a Slime Bag because they wanted extra fine filtration, but if you have a good filter and a high turnover rate you should be able to keep it from getting too cloudy.
