I have the traditional hayward multiflo valve on SWG pool. It is going on its 4th year with no problems. However, I notice the valve doesnt turn as nice as it once did. I always shut off the pump. I always rinse after backwashing and also make sure I always go the same direction when selecting. SO has anyone taken their valve apart to lube the o-rings? Am I wasting my time with this operation and possibly causing more damage than good.
