what is the good depth for the size of 16 x 26 in-ground ?

We have a 16' X 26" in-ground pool and not sure what we want to do with the Depth of the pool. any suggestions?
The family member Hight are from 5 feet to 5'9 feet.

1: From low to deep
2: Both side Low and Deep in the mid

I am new and this is the first pool....pls help ...

It depends on how you want to use it, because you will use it like you build it. If you want to play volley ball a lot, go with the "play" or "sport" option where it's just deep in the middle. This might be 3.5-4.0' on ends to 5.0-5.5' in the middle.

Maybe you want a slide on one end, so make it deeper there. About 6-7' for that. If you want a diving board you need to go longer and deeper. At least 34 ft and 8.5-9.0' deep on one end.

thank you for the reply. If I want to do it as for the lap pool. but the longer I can do is 26 due to the space. However if the 3.5 deep. is it ok to make a turn and with out hitting the leg in the low side ?
