Blue Spoon

I lost the blue spoon that comes with the TF-100.
I'm sure I'm not the first one who has done that.
Does anyone know of a substitute I can use?

You can use the tip of a popcycle stick until you can order one. The amount isn't critical as long as you have enough to turn the sample pink.

I just used the corner of the tip of a screwdriver.
I got a reading that I don't believe was accurate.

Using too much, within reason, won't affect the test. Use a little more powder and see if it makes a difference.

The blue scoop delivers an amount about 1/2 the size of a very small pea. If your sample turned a nice pink and didn't return to clear in 10 seconds or so, your test is valid. If it stayed completely clear, never turning pink, you have no chlorine.

It turned a nice pink and read 5 ppm.
I leave it at 5ppm when I turn the pump off at night.
It always reads from 3.5 - 4 the next afternoon- today it read 5
I'm not going to worry about it. I just ordered one and should have it in a week.
I'll add a couple cups of bleach tomorrow no matter what it reads.

Could be just one of those things although chlorine consumption will trend downward this time of year.
