    Welcome!

You ought to consider filling out your profile (User Control Panel/Profile/ Edit Profile) so we have a better idea where you are. The north coast is way different from the SF Bay area is way different from the LA-San Diego megalopolis is way different from the Central Valley and so on.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

Sorry, I am just a purist. I know the definition has expanded over the years but I am in the East Bay too and would never consider it as part of SV.
