I month ago we purchased a house with inground pool. Pool has 17K gallons of water.
The pool was not covered properly. I pulled the cover off and found a lot of leafs
on the bottom of the pool. I used kreepy krauly to vacuum all the stuff from the bottom.
The bottom is clean now. The pool was green, went to a pool store and was told to add a lot of chlorine.
I found this forum today and started reading about the BBB method.
I still have a lot to learn, ordered the Taylor K-2006 kit today.
I am in NY state and need to clean the pool fast so that I can close it for the winter.
I added 5 gallons of chlorine and the color of the water is still green.
What is the best way to get rid of the algae? What should be my next steps?
Thank you very much.
