What order do i go in to adjust FC, pH, and TA

I need to adjust FC, PH, and TA. What order should I do these in?

    What are the levels?

It can depend on what the levels are as to what you adjust first. It's usually pH first and then FC and then TA if it needs it.

Here is a little more info. Pool builder came yesterday to remove a stain off of tanning shelf. He used a bucket of Jacks Magic and 2 gallons of acid and it wrecked my levels.

    Currently at:

    FC 1
    CC 0
    TA 30
    CA 90
    pH 6.8
    CH 280

If you're sure about that TA level I'd adjust it first. Then retest the pH and adjust it. Then lastly worry about the FC.

All three are pretty important and can be done in just a few hours in the order Dave mentioned: TA, pH, FC

How do your chlorinate? That affects your target for TA.

Hey neighbor. If you got that TA number from your 2006 kit and trust it, then bring it up first. You really do need to get some chlorine in also. Don't really need a long turnover time between the two. Just don't start a slam yet if you need to. That will keep your FC lower so it won't skew the pH test. I would shoot for about 70 or so on TA. Then test your pH again and bring it up to about 7.4 or so. Most pools in this area like TA around that. All pools are a little different so you will need to find it's sweet spot and your pH should then become stable.

    BTW... I'm an Orange firefighter
