Opinions on Slow release non-chlorine winter pool floater

This will be my first winter pool closing. My plan is to slam and add some algecide.

I was reading some good reviews on various slow release floaters to help with a clean spring opening. Was interested in feedback from folks here.
    THanks!

Not needed or wanted. Do you know what the ingredients are?

You can stop SLAMing your pool when you pass the OCLT (You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & You have .5ppm CC's or less) & your water is clear.

Not sure, just says non-chlorine oxidizer.

Probably MPS. Just raise the FC to shock level and close it normally.
