Water Temperature and running pump at night???

Just curious if running the pump at night cooled the water down this time of year? Electrician has never gotten here yet to install the timer so been running the pump 24/7. Anyone know if it would retain heat better by not running it at night? I keep a solar cover on it anytime we are not in the pool.

If you have a solar cover on it, running the pump won't make much difference.
