i am a bran new owner pool installed on aug 12,2013 i am here to learn all i can... thinking about closeing my pool by my self any thoughts. what steps do i have to do in any order i have heard it should run for 3 days straight is there any truth to this

Bo gave you a good reference on closing it.

I don't know where you got that you needed to run it for 3 days. That is not correct.

Read the article Bo posted the link to and then ask any questions you don't understand.
