i live in lexington ,ky our winters can be mild to pretty bad, it fluctuates from yr to yr . first yr with new pool i have a deck all the way around pool what are the problems if i do not use a cover this yr i will clean shock disconect and do everything else just no cover pros and cons please

Higher FC loss to the sun, and more gunk able to fall into the water and consume more of the FC.
Why not just leave the pool "open" and allow the water to circulate so you can add bleach as needed? The FC should be low and you will not need to run the pump much ... just ensure it runs when the temp is below freezing.

we do down to o degrees this would be way to cold to run pump i guess i will just have to get a cheap cover would a mesh be the best
