Deck was poured yesterday morning. They will wait to apply the KoolDeck/KoolCrete (whatever brand they use), until near the end to avoid getting it dinged up by the folks building the arbor next week.

I was pushing for PMS 166 (OSU orange, just in case you're not familiar with Pantone colors), but settled on a tan/wheat-ish color.

Don't remember the industry name for it.

Sprinklers have been rerun, backfill completed, and fence has been rehung. Inspector should be visiting (or has visited, who knows) soon. Arbor construction should be either this week or Monday.

Only thing happening today was installation of the back door alarm.

Pre-plaster inspection on Monday, and hopefully plaster on Wed. Tuesday if we're lucky, but not holding my breath.

I have my TF-100 in hand, ready to go.

We're at 26.5 hrs and almost full.

Should be done filling before bedtime. PB was out this afternoon to deliver brushes, vacuum hoses, extra bag of D.E. and other gear to get ready for start up tomorrow.

Pump and filter up and running. Larger gas meter installed. Water has cleared up considerably in just an afternoon. I'm stuck at work so I don't get to play with anything until tomorrow. At least I have next week off.

We were pleased to see the crew show up to get our arbor built today. We had them also install a ceiling fan and a motion detection light (although not seen in the pics). We went very basic, but very happy with the results.

Kool Krete / Sun Deck / Cool Deck whatever it's called has been sprayed. Really, like how it turned out. Of course, our pool water was trashed with over spray, but it's nearly back to normal. A few more minor house-cleaning items on the deck, landscaping that will likely start next week and we'll be done.

If anyone needs an old beat-up grill (still works), send them my way.

I have a question about the spillway on your the spa. Are you happy with the way the water falls over the chipped edge stone? Ours was left smooth and I asked if they would come back and chip it. The PB called to say he didn't think I would like the way the water would look as it spilled over if we didn't leave it a smooth cut. He suggested waiting so we could see what it looked like, then we could have it chipped later if we still wanted to do that. After seeing the pic of your spillway, I see what he's talking about with the water going under the lip of the rock, but I still think it looks great the way it trickles over.

Clw72 - mine was installed today, the photo they showed me was smooth rounded edges but just looked at it and they've chipped them off! I'm hoping I will like it! Apparently, they've worked really hard all day to get it that way.
