This may be a dumb question, but this is really driving me crazy so I am hoping you guys can help.
The last few times I have cleaned out my pump filter basket, I have had a lot of trouble getting the lid back on the container for the filter basket. I am not technical so forgive my lack of knowledge of what things are called. The problem is that the clear lid will not go fully down over the basin where water enters and the filter basket sits. I have cleaned all of the surfaces involved with this (the lip of the basin, the inside of the lid, the rubber part that causes it all to seal...). The only thing I can figure is that either the lid has shrunk, the basin has expanded, or the rubber thing has lost it's flexibility.
Here are my questions:
1) does any of this make sense, first off? I can try to explain it better if not.
2) has anyone ever run into this? What did you do to fix it?
3) Any other suggestions?
