Our pool (20k gallons) was plumbed for 2 skimmers and 5 returns, although we had only contracted for 4 returns. Instead of asking us if we wanted to utilize the 5th return, the PB instead had a cover installed instead. I realize 4 is plenty, but would having that 5th one available be better? It seems to me that it could only help with the circulation. It is evenly spaced between the next 2 nearest ones that are in use.
If so, how easy is it for me as the owner of the pool to remove the cover they had installed and put in the eyeball to make it a true return? Is there anything involved other than turning off the pump to do it, and if so do they sell those at most pool supply stores?
