Solar heating issue

Hi Guys, just recently shocked my pool with the desired result. However, just switched on my solar heating (for first time in a while) and loads of air bubbles and white coloured "murk" came from solar return jets!! I got worried so switched it off. I haven't been maintaining the solar very well to be honest (whilst hasn't been in use).

Could this be linked to me shocking the pool (the white stuff)? Should I just switch it back on and let the pipes clear themselves?

Any help gratefully received!!

Ade

With the disclaimer that I have only owned a pool for less than a year, here's what I'd do.

1. Run the solar long enough to clear out the pipes.
2. Turn off the pump for long enough for the Crud to settle...maybe overnight or more.
3. Vacuum directly to waste, to get the settled particles out of the pool.
