refilled spa, want to do it right

just used spa purge and refilled. Have only walmart test kit and strips. Walmart test says TH 500, ph 7.8, TA 410, Cya 0( dot never left), and Cl .5.

Test strips said TA 240+, ph 7.8, Cl 0, cya 30-50 does not test CH/TH

I added .5 oz of dichlor per poolcalc.

I lost the link for the discount on the good test kit if someone can provide.
Looking for any advice as I attempt to do it right.
Spa is a bullfrog 552, 411 gallons

Welcome to TFP!
Toss the strips in the bin. They really aren't worthy of much more. Not to sound too harsh, they simply cannot be trusted. We have other members much better suited to give spa advice besides me, but I did find the link you wanted. A good kit is a wise decision. Enjoy the forum.
