Pressure Gauge for Sand Filter Condensation Build Up/Leak

I replaced a Pressure Gauge for my Sand Filter 4 months ago & every time it rains or in damp weather, condensation builds up under the Plastic Face Plate & it is very difficult to read. It clears up eventually, but it the PSI on the gauge is more invisible than visible most of the time. Did I buy a cheap gauge? Is there one I can buy that will never do this? I thought of sealing it with crazy glue, but have not tried that yet. I live in Florida, so it is very humid here. Thanks in advance.

I would use the google forum search near the upper right of page and search for the liquid filled pressure gauge threads. A liquid filled gauge will last longer and not have the condensation problems your are experiencing.

Wow! Never knew they existed. I found this great site. The only thing is the Increments of the Measurements are way too high. I need numbers like 10, 20, 30 so I can monitor 1 PSI at a time.

If you keep looking I am sure you can find a more graduated liquid filled. I know for a fact they exist.

A 0-30 psi gauge (which is available on that site) should have 1/2 psi increments (most do).

On the Site the 1st one is -30 Hg to 0. Is this the one? I also would like one to go a bit past 30 like the one I have now which I believe goes up to 60. They don't show a picture of each individual Gauge & the different PSI Readings.

How high is your pressure going? Above 30 psi is too high.

The one you would want is this one: DCPB254L-030 which is listed as:

DCPB254L-030 2-1/2" Liquid Filled Pressure Gauges - Lower Mount - 30 Psi

No. It does not go past 25 psi. And that's when I Backwash.
Normal Operation is 17 psi.
I just thought having the option of a 60 psi would be better in case there are any big problems. But I'm sure I'd know about it right away, if it ever went that high, even without reading the Valve.

Depending on what part of Florida you're in (whether or not you have one of these stores close by (no shipping cost)) you may be interested in this gauge as well. Don't know anything about the quality, etc. I just ran across it last night doing some looking. I like the less cluttered look of it.
