OK flagstone on tanning ledge and steps?

About to sign a pool contract and am looking at design options...
I love the look of flagstone on tanning ledges, inside spas and on beach entries, but have read that it can be a problem, as it is a soft stone. Most of the info was from several years ago, so i wondered if there may have been advancements in sealing techniques. As a reference, my pool will be clorine.
Has anyone had trouble with theirs flaking, etc?

I think it would be fine as long as you aren't doing salt. I know there are some elite pool builders in TX doing submerged OK FS for various things, but I can't tell you about any first hand accounts from the users. Sorry.
