PB is selling/including a 3/4HP booster pump with a Polaris 280 in the specs. Do I go with the 280 or change the specs to have a robot/delete it all and buy a robot on my own? Trying to learn all I can before signing the contract!

One factor that may help decide it to know what type of debris you expect to have in your location, different types of cleaners tend to deal with different types of debris best, do you expect, lots of dust/dirt, leaves (small/ large), other plant material (nuts, berries, pine straw, etc.)

Dust, dirt, pollen is what is to be expected. No trees in the yard, no pines in the neighbor's yards. I would expect very few leaves in the pool. Not sure of the landscaping plan (flowers and the like) for blowing trash.
