    BBB?

    I'm just wanting to know if we can use liquid bleach from say walmart to sub for 3" tabs or shock bags?

    We generally suggest use of liquid chlorine / plain bleach instead of dry forms of chlorine, see the pool school link in the upper right for lots more info

    It says you can right over there >>>> You can use bleach in your pool instead of tabs.

    Generally bleach is the BEST source of chlorine as it does not have any of the side effects that the solid forms have .... do NOT believe the pool store if they tell you different ... in fact, just stay out of them for anything chemistry related.

    Do you have one of the recommended test kits?

    I'm sorry i had added that info somewhere and its not showing up.20k gal,ig vinyl,1.5 hp,250lb sand filter.

    I use bleach EVERY day.

    WalMart great Value is very cost effective. the Liquid Chlorinatr over ni the pool section is even less expensive. I try to buy this first



    and if they are out... it buy the GV extra strength.
