And let the pump run for about an hour AFTER adding any chemicals ... a quick brushing can also help ensure the chemicals mix and do not sit on the bottom.
I start off really slow until I see the stream moving the chlorine away, then speed it up just a little. I dose at night and leave the pump on until morning.
Thanks for your help I know it can be frustrating to you experts when the same questions are asked time and time again, but I was unaware of the search box and anyway personal contact is always better makes me feel human.
I normally say to pour it a stream less than the diameter of a pencil in front of a running return. Letting the pump run for at least an hour is a good plan. If you need to add chlorine and then measure your FC, like in a SLAM, this would be a good process.
