    SLAM with SWG

This is my first time SLAMing with my SWG. Should I keep the SWG running when I add bleach, or turn it off? I'm wondering if the high chlorine level will damage the cell. Thanks!

The cell is fine with the chlorine levels, but we recommend turning it off during the whole SLAM process and saving the runtime/life.

The SLAM process is not finished until: 1. CC < 0.5 ppm, 2. An OCLT < 1.0 ppm and, 3. The water is crystal clear.

Leaving it off also lets you get a better feel for the chlorine consumption.

You can also use the SWG to help maintain FC Shock levels during the SLAM process.

This can be helpful especially if you are not able to babysit the pool thru the process.

Make sure to turn SWG OFF before performing the OCLT.

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
