    pump electrical plug hot

    last yr ran pump dry long story now this yr the plug gets very hot

    Sounds like a power draw issue rather than a pump issue. Is your pump pluged into an outlet or extension cord?

    The easiest thing to check are the connections. Be sure the wires are good and tight on the back of the outlet and where the pigtail ends are connected inside the motor.
