I just put in 750 sf of travertine pavers, a little lighter in color, I don't remember the name, but definitely an ivory color. I've been debating on whether or not to enhance, and the rain last week brought out a color very close to how yours look on my monitor. How hot are they in the afternoon sun? Mine remain cool enough to walk on comfortably, but I've heard the noche can get pretty hot- it looks to me like yours are in between my lighter color and the noche. I'm trying to decide if enhancing would make them too hot.

My travertine was classified [in color] as English Walnut. It gets pretty warm, but still comfortable enough to walk on casually. I had several travertine samples I brought home and left in yard for several days (Ivory, English Walnut, and Noche). I'd step on them periodically to test the temperature and there was definitely a difference between the three (lightest was coolest of course). The Noche was maybe 5 degrees (F) warmer than the Walnut (I'm just guessing by feel).

Have you washed your deck down much? A couple days after mine were installed, I started washing my deck down every day. After about the fourth day, the color in my travertine was noticably darker when dry (presumably from all of the stone dust finally washing off).

I just love your design choices. I have to say I'm surprised at how dark the Tropics Blue Stonescapes came out. It was one of our considerations, but we chose Tahoe Blue because I thought it would be darker. I used their website to judge the colors and most of the pictures on their site for Tropics Blue appear so much lighter!

Sorry for the delayed response, got busy at work and have been off the forum for a while. I appreciate all of the kind comments. We're still extremely happy with the pool. We kept the pool heated for the month of October to extend the swim season :D. We heated it the first week in January (we DFW was experiencing snow/ice and temps in the teens) and heated it again a couple weekends ago. We're very much looking forward to some consistently warmer weather to spend more time outside. I think we have most of the outdoor furniture in place and now we just need to finish the landscaping.

I'm choosing M. Christopher as my builder also. Hope my pool looks as awesome as yours.

Thanks! I have a friend just finishing a M. Christopher build and his looks great. I'm sure yours will turn out stellar. I look forward to following your build.
