2500 gph too much for this pool?

Next year I'm thinking of investing in the Intex 1500gph pump filter for my 10' x 30" pool. It's a 1185 gallon pool. Would the 1500 be to "big" ? This pool comes with a 530 gph, which is just way too small, but marketing genius to gently prod customers into purchasing bigger pumps. So we bought the 1000 gph pump and that still doesn't seem to quite do the job. Or should we just set the 530 gph up to hang over the side in addition to the 1000 gph pump connected at the side walls. Or the 530 connected at the side walls and the 1000 hanging over the side?

Any advice?

I had the 2500 gph sand filter system on my old 12' round intex! Unreal circulation, but I wouldn't call it too big at all. So I think you're fine with the 1500.
