Water level. Where should it be?

I imagine that it would be between the tile level. However, at that level my skimmers are completely full.

Is this right? I would imagine they would be less effective if the water level in them are too high.

Water level should be in the middle 1/3 of your skimmer opening.

In my pool, and others I've seen, the water level should be about half way up the skimmer inlet opening. This also equates to about half way up the tiles. You do not want the pool surface material (in particular plaster or vinyl) above the water line.

Can you post a pic of your skimmer setup?
