Received test kit yesterday. Couldn't wait to use it! Fun!

you need to add 180 ounces of borax. Which is about 20 cups. This will raise the Ph.

You want PH to be between 7.2 and 7.8. The PH test typically reads values lower than 6.8 as 6.8, so it isn't clear just how far you need to raise the PH to get to 7.2. I would try one box of borax at a time, wait an hour or two and then retest. Repeat with another box of borax until PH is between 7.2 and 7.8. You can also use soda ash/PH Increaser if you have it already, but that will also raise TA. One way or another get the PH up fairly soon.

I bought some Borax this weekend. I added one box today and will retest the pH tomorrow.
