    Hi from NJ

    Hi everyone!

Well, I've been a lurker for a few years, but finally decided to join and make it official. I'm currently in the process of redoing most of my pool! all the pool equipment had a good run for the money at 27yrs! yeap thats right...27yrs...i just replacced the original pool liner this year with a new loop loc liner...but now its time to redo the filter and pump. I'm still reading through all the "newbie" info which is fun reading even though i've owned a pool for over 20 yrs

I'm trying to figure out which section of the forum to ask for design ideas since i will be doing the "redo" myself. I've been contemplating making the pool SW now also...and whether or not to automate everything also...so many options are out there now..it becomes over whelming....

    36,000 gallons
    21 X 40 Grecian vinyl inground
27 yr old hayward 1hp pump
27 yr old 36sqft DE filter / multiport valve
    2 surface skimmers / 1 bottom skimmer
    3 return ports

Welcome to TFP. There seem to be a lot of people from NJ showing up here on TFP.

Thanks! That area in front of the pool was finished off also as a pond...it is about 80 gallons and holds koi. I think with the climate shifts...NJ is becoming the Virginia..hahaha

Like the koi pond. Wish I had something like that.
