I have heard a number of different perspectives on the ideal number of skimmers for my yet-to-be-built pool. The specifics are:

20'x44' Double Roman Pool
- Cement (PB Calls it Permacrete)
- 20'x36' Rectangle w/ Roman Ends
- Comes with 2 Skimmers and 2 Returns
- 8HP Sta-Rite IntelliPro Pump

Are the 2 Skimmers enough?

Thanks for in advance for your help...

Welcome to TFP!
2 skimmers is almost certainly enough. Make sure they're on the downwind side of the pool...that will make a big difference.

However, 2 returns is nowhere near enough. I would think at least 4 would be good.

Welcome!

Two skimmers is good. Make sure one is at the downwind end of the pool, otherwise any leaves on the surface will blow right on by the skimmer, get waterlogged, and sink, so you can vacuum them up. Ask me how I know.

Two returns is nowhere near enough. My pool is kidney shaped, 12 X 32, with three returns, and I still can't aim things right to eliminate all the dead spots. I wish I had six.
