Erase it product

Has anyone used the following product? My pool store is recommending it for what I believe to be penny size metal stains

Try using vitamin C tablets. Lay it on the stain and it will be gone in a few hours if the source of the stain was external to the plaster. You can scrub with the tablet to get it done faster.

I did rub a vitamin tablet on them, they lightened up but did not disappear at all. They are in deepest part of pool, so hard to access without jumping in
