Just found Algae in our Pool

Guys,

We just came back from vacation and we believe our pool has mustard algae. We have done the first step recomended and we started runing our pump 24/7.

Currently we have a set of storms comming in and we will not be able to treat the poool in detail until saturday. We currently have enough bleach to do a shock treatmeant.

We were wondering if we shock tonight and start the treatment Jason recomends on Saturday will we be waisting our bleach,

I'd at least get it in there....even if it could be considered a waste if you can't keep the level up till saturday. Some is better than none.

Do you have any water test numbers you can share?

BTW, where is Chatham? :-D

Chatham is in Illinois near Springfield.

Our numbers are:
FC=0
Total Chlorine= 0
pH 7.2
Alkalinity = 90
CYA = 50
