Hello everyone, my pool is finally finished. It an IG flat back kidney, I think its around 16,000 gallons with a vinyl liner. I'm about to fire up the pump for the first time. I've been to pool school, I just want to know what essentials I need to start this thing up right. What are the absolute musts to have a smooth start up.

Do you have a test kit and can you post test results? That's the starting point.

If you don't have one of the Recommended Test Kits, I would order one right now. Then I would stock up on liquid bleach (no thickeners or scents - just the plain stuff).
