Hey guys, got the coping brick design around the top edge of my pool, and I had one brick just come loose at the mortar line, I mean the brick is still in good shape, what's best to put this brick back in ? And is this a DIY job ?
If it's colored mortar you may have a problem matching it but you should be able to set it back in place and get some patching compound and fill the joints in.
Assuming you have freezing temps, you will likely have others nearby coming up over time. The water gets under them and, if they weren't set perfectly, it allows space for the water to get in, freeze and pop them up.
Check if the adjacent one have a "hollow" sound when you tap them. If so, they will probably come up over time as well.
