I have read all the sale ads and warranty blah blah, but realistically speaking and from real world experience how long can I expect a solar cover to last???

My "space Age" blanket, really thick, silver on the bottom, blue on the top, lasted 5 seasons, probably could have gone another year or more, but it was too heavy for me anyway.
My new, lighter one, is on it's second season and was only $40 so I'm not to upset if it's chucked after next year or this year.
My SIL replaces hers every year. She has an 18 ft ag pool so it's $30 a year to replace. She doesn't like to clean it....

I'm going on 4 years with mine. Still in good shape, so it'll go back on the pool this fall and next spring.
