    What is a SLAM???

I wasn't sure where to put this. Mods please feel free to move it.

I've been gone for a week and was catching up. I've seen SLAM used twice in different threads. What in the world is a SLAM??? I don't ever recall seeing that slang used here before.

    Re: What is a SLAM???

People got too confused between our use of shock and the traditional use of shock (traditional use meaning "bunch of chlorine" or "the powder in this bag" or "whatever the pool store tells you shock means"). Changing it was a great idea, it fixes a lot of confusion, when someone says "I shocked my pool..." we know they didn't SLAM it.
