Did I buy the wrong indicator solution?

Hi TFP,

I asked a pool supplier in the US to order me a replacement for the Red Phenol R-0004 that came with my Taylor K-2006. The sent me R-1003J and I'm not sure it the correct solution for the 2000 Series comparator that came with the test kit.

Can anyone confirm if I can use R-1003 in a 200 series comparator?

Yes r-1003j is just phenol red diff label. Although im not sure if they are diff concentrations can you compare the old bottle with the new bottle?

On closer look it says for use with midget and slide comparators

Usually the confusion is between R-0004 and R-0014 ... 1003J is one I had not seen mentioned.

They are all the same Phenol Red, but may have different concentrations. You will just have to figure out how many drops to use with your test tube to best match the hues.

I think the LPS ordered based on my description, "Taylor Red Phenol" rather than a part number because I wasn't specific enough. I'll monkey with this one to see if I can get it in the zone.
