SWG not helping FC level?

I would say give it a day to two to show up in your testing and add more if you need it. It's much easier to add more later than to take it out. I would trust the Taylor test to show results in the 20-100 CYA ppm range.

You need to stop adding cya until you have finished SLAMing your pool. As the more cya you have in there, the more bleach/liquid CL it takes to keep it at shock level. Obviously this equates to more expense on CL purchased.

Figure out how much you have put in thus far and go with that on the CL/CYA chart for SLAMing. For now, since it's taking a while to show up on the test, ignore the cya test. Not that It's not accurate, just that it takes a while to register and since you know what you have put in, more or less, go with that. No sense in waiting till you see it on the test, the cya is active immediately, start SLAMing nowwhile you give the water and the cya enough time to register in the test. Hopefuly that makes sense.

Remember, cya is easy add, drain to remove.

Don't forget to lower your Ph to 7.2-7.5 before SLAMing. Once you have the water at shock level, ignore PH until you finish SLAMing and your FC levels drop below 10ppm.

Hang in there, you have got this! :goodjob:
