rebuild - hybrid inground - concrete base - fibreglass walls

got a 45 year old pool that came with the house when we purchased 5 yrs old.
I suspected it was leaking; but how to diagnose.... ? We have had major flooding from a recent storm.
The backyard is much wetter than usual . Decided to drain the pool. Yah it leaks! water is now coming in from the surrounding ground ; from the outside in - guessing over 10 gallons a day. pinhole leak in the concrete bowl in the deep end. The pool is figure 8 shaped. There are @ 10 leaks where the fibreglass wall joins the concrete. It's obvious that this has been an ongoing problem; silicone caulking.

What to do ? If it were up to me ; I would fill it in.
Son wants to rebuild. Is a liner possible ?

I'll post some photos

near Toronto CANADA freeze / thaw down to 3 feet
