We are finished , but I know you guys love a good DIY. Excuse the appearance of the working men , they all may or may not have been influenced by Bud light.

Nice build and no need to worry about those kinds of appearances. No pool around here could be completed without a "few" cold ones.

You guys did a really nice job. Hope you stick around now that you found us. :goodjob:

That is a vermiculite bottom, right? It may be one of the smoothest installations I recall seeing.....far better than the one I paid for.

im not exactly sure what vermiculite is , but I can tell you what ours is. Its concrete drypack , just regular sidewalk mix with less water so its like clay instead of smushy cement, you get it set exactly how you want then you just add more water to set it. Then we sanded it with concrete sanders till we got every single imperfection out. In our area they didn't offer gunite or shotcrete and the only PB in town wanted 18k for install not including our mass amount of decking. I wish we would have done a spill over because our marquis stand alone just doesn't ever get messed with now. Our Hayward heater keeps our pool a nice 89 degrees at startup (mid april)
