Mastertemp 400- only works when I bypass fireman switch

Hi Folks

My MT 400 will only work when I manually operate it by bypassing the compupool controller. I jumped the fireman switch which means it in the controller or another sensor, correct? How can I confirm what the problem is?
 
So your controller is wired into the fireman's switch, very typical setup. Check the wire that leads from the fireman's switch to the controller. Possible broken/disconnected wire.
