First time using TF-100

So here are my readings:
Ph 7.8
FC 1
CC 0
TC 1
TA 140
CH 330
CYA 85 (down from 200+ we had some months ago)

So I obviously need a lot of bleach. I'm still trying to find a good supplier for 12% bleach. It's just beginning of swimming season. Should I start by lowering the CYA by draining the pool or should I balance the other stuff first?

I'm completely new to the bbb and still a little overwhelmed.

Definitely replace water to lower the CYA.

What does the water look like? You will probably want to go through the SLAM process and that is easier with a lower CYA.

Oddly enough the water looks great. We had lowered the cya to 40ish but then were using tabs plus granular shock until I found this site. Just in a couple of months my cya has doubled. Still using tabs but trying to get off them as soon as I get me some bleach.

The new concentrated bleach in stores is 8.25% which is pretty good. Just be sure to buy the unscented and plain Jane type. Not splash-less not outdoor etc.

Unless you find 12%, near your home, for a good price, I find the 10% to be the best value. I can get his at any box store for 6.47 to 6.86 for two gallons.

Here in nc it is very difficult to find liquid chlorine except for bleach - I envy those of you with options. Even pool stores don't carry liquid in my area.

Most of the pool stores in my area do not carry 12%, so to get it , I need drive an extra 10 miles. No savings after I do that. So WalMart it is or HD.
