I have no pressure in my DE filter. Water flow is excellent in and out of pool. However, the spider gasket on the multi port valve was shot. I have ordered a new one. I would like to know if this is affecting the filter pressure. I did initially thought the pressure gauge was bad and replaced it. The new gauge only registers pressure if I back wash and shut the ball valve; so I know that it does work. I have a very old system; Purex Triton,small pool, 12000 gal.
Bad spider gasket effect pressure?

A bad spider gasket will allow water to bypass the filter completely, lowering the pressure at the filter significantly.
