Water Balancing

Hello all, i noticed on Wednesday of last week that I was beginning to get algae forming on the sides and bottom of my pool. I shocked it with bleach and then added algaecide. I noticed that it is coming back in certain places but not as prevalent. I am new to owning a pool, so I am not sure if this is common. I live in a heavily wooded area and leaves constantly fall in and I do my best to keep it clean. I did a water test today and here are my readings

TC - 8
TA - 90
CA - 160-180
CYA -30
PH - 7.5-7.8

THoughts?

Shock is not a one-time mega-dose. It is a sustained process that can take several days, possibly weeks. All you've done now is beat back the algae. It will reproduce, regroup, and stage a counterattack unless you keep after it until it's all dead. pool-school/shocking_your_pool explains it in detail.

Have you brushed the walls and floor? Are there slimy spots on the vinyl?

I just pasted the URL straight off the address bar, and that's what came up. Blame the webmaster for not creating a new page and then setting up a redirect to it from the older URL.
