I've seen this come up a few times here, and I finally took pics of my set up. For those with an Easy Set or not ready to go to a through the wall on an Ultra, this provides a secure mount for the skimmer. This has worked out great for me. I can't take credit as it's based off a solution I found here last year.
Just remember to make clearance in the stand for pool movement and some height variation (especially on the Easy Set). And allow clearance and position the hose clamps so they don't rub on the pool.
I made mine from 1" PVC. I would use 1" minimum or 1-1/4". The Intex skimmer bracket is cut off and attached with hose clamps. The stand is held in place with a sand bag.
