AS long as it's not against your local codes go for it.I know where I live recptacles not for pool equipment use must be a min.10' from waters edge.I have a friend who lives in the next county,his local code states that the min. distance for a recptacle is 6' from the waters edge.You may want to see what your local code requirements are.
