Pool Light Sealing Ring?

Howdy Folks.

Can a pentair pool light sealing ring be changed without draining the pool below the light? I replaced my liner last spring and the pool light sealing ring has a rust spot which is leaving a stain on my new liner.

Seem to me it can be done "quickly" just want to be sure before I really muck things up!

I assume you are talking about the decorative outside retaining ring. It usually comes off with one small screw right at the top.

No, Its the 10 hole ring that sandwiches the liner to the pool wall, or holds the bulb bucket in.

Forgot to mention its an in ground. 18x36 8ft deep.

I have done it twice only but it seems to me I remember it not beeing really "quick" Nevertheless, it is very doable just by removing those 10 screws.
